KBS 2TV's weekend mini-series 'The Completion of Marriage' has pushed viewers to the edge with its unpredictable developments, leaving only one episode until its finale. Episode 11, which aired on the 8th at 9:20 PM, broke its own viewership records, hitting 7.7% nationwide and reaching a peak of 8.7% per minute. The episode reached a fever pitch in its final moments when Kang Tae-ju (played by Namkoong Min) collapsed following a sudden attack with a stun gun by Noh Man-hee (played by Kim Dae-myung).

The Truth Behind Choi Chi-ung's Fetal Stem Cell Project

This episode revealed the tangled web of desires and past misdeeds surrounding the fetal stem cell project. Kang Tae-ju met secretly with his father-in-law, Ko Dong-chan (played by Jang Kwang), to uncover the mastermind behind the project. He shocked Ko Dong-chan by pointing out that Choi Chi-ung (played by Woo Ji-hyun) was the one who originally proposed the fetal stem cell project. Kang Tae-ju identified Choi Chi-ung as the individual who ordered Ha Jeong-su (played by Jeon Kwang-jin) to commit murder and had been deceiving Noh Man-hee and Kim Kyung-ae (played by Lee Sang-hee) using potassium chloride. He then requested Ko Dong-chan to pretend he was unaware of these facts.

Choi Chi-ung's motive for targeting Kang Tae-ju stemmed from the sense of deprivation he felt after being pushed aside and excluded from performing surgeries during the previous fetal stem cell project. Choi Chi-ung brainwashed Noh Man-hee by making a false promise that he would allow Noh's wife, Kim Kyung-ae, to undergo surgery in exchange for killing Kang Tae-ju. Driven by the sole desire to save his wife, Noh Man-hee followed Choi Chi-ung's instructions, but he gradually began to slip out of his control, emerging as a new variable.

Past Misdeeds and Entangled Relationships

As the fragments of the past came together, the full truth of the incident was revealed. In the past, acting under Choi Chi-ung's orders, Noh Man-hee had once targeted Kang Tae-ju while posing as a designated driver. During that time, after hearing a drunken Kang Tae-ju say he would give him 500 million won if he "took care of" his wife, Noh Man-hee impulsively kidnapped Ko Se-yoon (played by Lee Seol). Feeling uneasy, Choi Chi-ung visited Kim Kyung-ae's house, but while fleeing from the sound of a gunshot, he discovered 3 billion won in Kang Tae-ju's car and moved it to his own.

Later, after Kim Kyung-ae was transported to Uri Hamkke Hospital and Kang Tae-ju successfully saved her through surgery, Choi Chi-ung moved once again. He ordered the cash-strapped Ha Jeong-su to kill Kim Kyung-ae, but when that failed, Choi Chi-ung personally administered a lethal injection of potassium chloride. It was revealed that Choi Chi-ung had been collaborating with Cha Myeong-hee (played by Cho Yoon-seo) from the beginning with the intention of eliminating Ko Se-yoon rather than Kang Tae-ju, and the conflicts arising from this process eventually fueled his rage toward Kang Tae-ju.

Kang Tae-ju's Counterattack and Noh Man-hee's Shocking Betrayal

Cornered, Kang Tae-ju chose a strategy to shake up the board. Using a hospital fire alarm, he smuggled Kim Kyung-ae out and hid her in a defunct nursing hospital. Kang Tae-ju then engaged in psychological warfare by meeting Noh Man-hee alone as he searched for his wife's whereabouts. He warned Noh Man-hee that the surgery promised by Choi Chi-ung would never happen and demanded that he confess and turn himself in for the actions taken under Choi's orders. Kang Tae-ju provoked Noh Man-hee's guilt, saying, "It's because of you that she couldn't get the surgery."

Kang Tae-ju attempted to sway Noh Man-hee by offering to perform Kim Kyung-ae's surgery himself. However, the situation shifted dramatically in the ending. When Kang Tae-ju arrived at the location after receiving a call from Noh Man-hee, Choi Chi-ung was there with him. Noh Man-hee appeared to take Choi Chi-ung's side, saying, "I'll do as I'm told. I'll do whatever you tell me to do." But immediately after, Noh Man-hee swung a stun gun at Kang Tae-ju, and the drama reached a climax as Kang Tae-ju lost consciousness and collapsed.

The final episode, to be broadcast on the 9th at 9:20 PM, will depict the conclusions of the characters who made conflicting choices.
