Yewon: Three accidents in just three weeks? A novice driver's survival story on the streets of Gangnam
A suspenseful episode where Yewon, having endured a continuous series of accidents including traffic collisions and falls over the past three weeks, takes on the challenge of driving through the heart of Gangnam.
In the recently released second episode of 'My Monster Uncle,' Yewon created nail-biting tension as she took on the challenge of driving through the heart of Gangnam. Accompanied by the 'Monster Uncles' to assist the novice driver, this episode added an element of variety-show entertainment as Yewon's driving struggles coincided with news of her recent string of mishaps.
Three accidents in three weeks: Yewon's 'unlucky' recent streak
Before filming began, Yewon lightened the mood by confessing a series of accidents she had experienced over the past three weeks. Most recently, she was involved in a traffic accident over the weekend. Yewon explained that while driving in the far lane, she slammed on her brakes to avoid a bicycle that wasn't watching the road, resulting in being rear-ended. Immediately after the accident, she even shared a photo of her right foot in a cast on Instagram.
However, Yewon's bad luck didn't end there. The real reason for the cast was not the traffic accident, but a fall that occurred during a trip to Gyeongju. She had tripped while running to find shaved ice in the sweltering heat. To make matters worse, she even had a minor mishap where a spoon cracked after she slammed a metal door shut while receiving a Malatang delivery, revealing that Yewon's recent three weeks have been a "continuous series of accidents."
"What if I hit a Rolls-Royce?" The pressure of Gangnam roads
Ahead of entering Gangnam proper, Yewon expressed her fear of the road conditions. The dense lineup of foreign luxury cars characteristic of Gangnam presented significant pressure for a beginner driver. Yewon expressed her nervousness, mentioning BMWs, Lamborghinis, and Ferraris cruising the streets, as well as supercars like Rolls-Royces.
In particular, when they hypothesized what would happen if Yewon collided with a Rolls-Royce while driving, the accompanying members reacted with jokes. The members teased, saying, "The easiest way would be to use the money in Habin's pocket or carry around bundles of checks." They also highlighted the difficulty of driving in Gangnam by mentioning that an accident while following closely behind a bus could be dangerous enough to expose the undercarriage of the vehicle.
Yewon could not hide her bewilderment at the complex bus routes and the relentless flow of traffic in Gangnam. As the training from the 'Monster Uncles' begins, viewers are focused on whether Yewon can successfully complete her drive on these massive roads.
